Spidey-heads can now take a huge sigh of relief now that it’s confirmed that Spider-Man is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
As you know, Spider-Man’s future was up in the air due to Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures not reaching an agreement on the next movie. Now, not only did the two studios agree to come together for another movie, but Marvel producer, Kevin Feige, will also return to the project.
“I am thrilled that Spidey’s journey in the MCU will continue, and I and all of us at Marvel Studios are very excited that we get to keep working on it”, said Feige in a press release. “Spider-Man is a powerful icon and hero whose story crosses all ages and audiences around the globe. He also happens to be the only hero with the superpower to cross cinematic universes, so as Sony continues to develop their own Spidey-verse you never know what surprises the future might hold.”
The movie is scheduled to be released on July 16, 2021, and features familiar faces like Tom Holland, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, and Jacob Batalon. Tom Holland was especially excited about this announcement and posted this on Instagram to celebrate it.
Zendaya also joined in on the excitement with her own post on Twitter.

While Spider-Man may be far from home, he isn’t going to stray away from the Marvel Universe anytime soon.
