Back in January it was announced that Solange would be headlining this year’s Coachella festival. Now, only a week before the big weekend, Coachella tweeted that Solange has canceled her set due to “major production delays.” Organizers wrote on Sunday night, “she send her sincerest apologies, and looks forward to performing at Coachella in the future.” Although there have not been any comment from Solange herself about the detailed reason for her cancellation, TMZ reports that it’s due to her band members becoming ill.
“We’re told Solange didn’t feel like she could deliver a great show for Coachella … and she ultimately decided to pull the plug.” TMZ shares, “Our sources also say she told a bunch of people she didn’t want a half-assed show. “ She has difficulty finding replacements that could fit her set and provide the experience she hoped her fans would enjoy. Last month Solange released her latest album, When I Get Home and she was scheduled to perform alongside Kid Cudi, Weezer, Aphex Twin, J Ballin and headliners Tame Impala.
