NFL star Russell Wilson recently joined forces with Grammy-award winning wife Ciara, to launch a new production company titled Why Not You Productions .
“When people look at me, I hope they don’t just see a football player. I hope they see a person who is innovative and creative, someone who builds something from nothing,” Russell told the Hollywood Reporter.
The new company will focus on film, television, and digital content projections across various genres. With this new venture, the power couple will continue the work they’ve been began with their youth empowerment-focused foundation, Why Not You Foundation.“While we work in different fields in our day-to-day, we are excited to come together to collaborate and create stories that we hope will touch people’s lives,” says Wilson and Ciara in a joint statement.
Currently, Wilson heads West2East Empire (W2E), a brand management, creative content and production company and Ciara runs her own record label called Beauty Marks Entertainment (BME). With Russell signing a four-year, $140 million extension that included a $65 million signing bonus and Ciara set to hit the stage at the Billboard Awards this week, we can agree that these boss moves are in full effect.
