DaBaby Is Bringing Back Choreography In Male Rap Performances

Da Baby Is Setting The Trend Of Male Choreography

DaBaby has proved to be 2019’s breakout star, with his undisputed flow, iconic yet hilarious music videos, and adding on to the list his newfound dance talent.

With his latest music video release “BOP”, the 27-year-old caused waves with a homage to musical theatre featuring the JABBAWOCKEEZ.

Since the music video, DaBaby has been nominated for two grammy awards and more recently made a stop at Saturday Night Live where he performed “BOP” and “Suge”. This isn’t the first time that he performed either of these songs live, but it is the first time that he had a dance routine associated with these songs. Along with the JABBAWOCKEEZ, DaBaby recreated his iconic music video and the dance that we all know and love.

While watching DaBaby use choreography in conjunction with his songs, he isn’t the first rapper to do so. In more recent times there have been many artists in hip-hop who have used routines in their performances.

Back in August, Lil Nas X had a futuristic performance of “Panini” at this year’s MTV VMAs.

Prior to that performance, Offset and Cardi B used very sultry choreography for their performance on the BET Awards of “Clout”.
